The Rotary Club of West Triangle celebrated a significant start to its new Rotary year with its first fundraising initiative under the leadership of Club President TLP Amelia Robles. The event took place on August 1, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Fisher Mall, featuring a special screening of Spider-Man that brought together members, supporters, and beneficiaries for an evening filled with fun, generosity, and purpose.
The fundraising activity was a success, with all tickets sold. The proceeds will support the club’s upcoming service projects and community service initiatives, enabling the club to continue providing meaningful assistance to communities and individuals in need.
To make the occasion even more special, the club invited scholars from Camias High School in Porac, Pampanga, to attend the Spider-Man screening free of charge. These students, who come from an Indigenous community, are scholars under Batang Katutubo Kalingain, a signature project of the Rotary Club of West Triangle led by Immediate Past President Marc Aviles.
For the scholars, the evening meant more than just watching a movie. It was an opportunity to experience something new, enjoy a memorable night with fellow students, and feel the genuine care and support of the Rotary community.
As President Amelia Robles embarks on her leadership journey, this first fundraising project sets a positive tone for a year focused on service, compassion, and meaningful action.
For these young scholars, the special screening was not just about watching a superhero movie; it was a chance to enjoy time with classmates and feel valued by a community that believes in their potential.
The Rotary Club of West Triangle continues to demonstrate that fundraising is about more than just financial contributions—it is about fostering hope, creating opportunities, and investing in lives.
